Hidden Cats in Santa’s Realm is a hidden object game that has you searching through Santa’s Village for hundreds of hidden kitties and some spicy little elves.
This is the latest console release from publisher Silesia Games and developer Nukearts Studio in the Hidden Cats series. This iteration arrives just in time for the holidays!
Gameplay
Hidden Cats in Santa’s Realm offers several game modes, however you’ll need to start your search in Normal Mode or Advanced Mode as these are the first levels that you have access to.
For achievement or trophy hunters you’ll want to do the Normal Mode and Advanced Mode while avoiding using hints. This isn’t a hard task as the map fills in with color once you’ve found every kitty in a building or certain small area.
The map remains the same for both Normal and Advanced Modes. However, in Advanced Mode, the kitties are located in different spots, and there are special hidden kitties to discover. Finding these hidden kitties unlocks bonus levels accessible from the main menu. Additionally, Advanced Mode challenges you to locate special characters hidden throughout the level alongside the cats.
Once all the special cats are discovered in Advanced Mode, you will unlock six bonus levels. These levels feature smaller maps with the same wintry Santa theme. Each level provides one hint, which achievement hunters can use at their discretion. Personally, I like to save the hint for the final cat, just in case I’m going out of my mind trying to find it.
After finding all the cats in both Normal and Advanced Modes and completing all the bonus levels, you’ll unlock the ultimate hidden object challenge: the Snowball Fight level. In this level, you’ll be tasked with finding 100 cats and 100 mischievous elves. The map is massive, and it’s easy to miss some of them, making it the ultimate test of your skills. It’s a really satisfying way to finish off the game.
Final Thoughts
Hidden Cats in Santa’s Realm is a great addition to the Hidden Cats series. I always look forward to new releases from this series, and the newest iteration doesn’t disappoint. While it’s an easy game for achievement hunters, it’s also accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages. If you’re looking for a relaxing game to enjoy for an hour or two, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
