Crystal Ball of Firmament is the latest platformer from Publisher Xitilon and Developer HealliesGames.

Achievements

This is a quick and easy title for achievement hunters, with a full completion taking around 40 minutes to an hour, depending on your skill level. The game features a triple stack on Xbox, allowing you to earn up to 3,000 Gamerscore across the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows versions. Future title updates may raise each version’s total to 5,000 Gamerscore. You can purchase a bundle that includes all three versions or buy them individually. To earn 100% completion, you’ll simply need to finish all 32 levels.

Gameplay

Crystal Ball of Firmament is an action-platformer where you play as a wizard searching for your missing spell book. The core gameplay mechanic revolves around day and night manipulation using a mystical crystal ball. With the press of a button, you can seamlessly shift between daytime and nighttime, altering the world around you in the process.

Certain doors may only be open during a specific time, and enemies behave differently depending on the cycle—aggressive during one and passive in the other. You can defeat enemies by running over them, but it’s easier when they’re in their dormant state.

As you progress, you’ll find tokens that correspond to either day or night. These can be used to purchase powerful upgrades for your wizard. Since upgrades require tokens from both time cycles, it’s essential to regularly switch between day and night to collect everything you need. The shopkeeper doesn’t show up on every level so make sure you have tokens handy when you do manage to run into them.

Final Verdict

Crystal Ball of Firmament delivers a laid-back, easy-to-learn action-platformer experience. The day-night mechanic adds a fun twist that keeps the short adventure engaging, though it can feel a bit tedious early on before you unlock upgrades that streamline the experience.

If you’re a fan of platformers or looking for an easy Gamerscore boost, this one’s worth checking out.
