Bunny Battle Nemesis is a 3D side scrolling beat ‘em up Developed and Published by DCF. Studios.

Ella, the queen of Hell has lost control of one of her Generals, Amanda. Who has gotten her hands on an army of ninjas, mercenaries and robots to try and take the crown for herself.

Ella, Queen of Hell. Shes alright…

You take control of Valentina and 3 of her Battle Bunnies to punch, kick and devour your way through the hordes of science fiction baddies to finally defeat Amanda.

Berserker has inner demons…

Each playable character in Bunny Battle Nemesis has a different set of moves and stats. Valentina is the only human and is your standard brawler whose stats are average across the board. Then there’s Bjorka. A giant floppy eared bunny who wields a two-handed axe. Bjorka is your tank character who is all about life and defense. Gladius is a hare, clad in what seems very similar to predator armor. Armed with a wrist mounted blade and shoulder blaster, Gladius’s is all about speed but lacks survivability. Last but certainly not least is Berserker. Berserker is the cutest of the group with big round eyes and a cute cotton tail. What horrors lie within this innocent creature cannot be explained by any words.

Punch, Kick and Devour your way through hordes of Sci Fi minions…

The gameplay in Bunny Battle Nemesis is very simple. Move left and right along a set path destroying anything that gets in your way. You have your basic attack button along with a power or rage attack. Theres a jump, a dodge, a grapple and an ultimate attack which needs to be powered up by punching baddies in the face. You keep the blood of you enemies and use it to upgrade your attacks after each level. I wasn’t expecting much from this, but each upgrade visually changes the attack combo, which is very cool.

With so many enemies on the screen at once it becomes pure carnage…

I wish I had stuck to one Bunny as I was playing through because I hit a difficulty spike towards the end. As I had been playing round with all the Bunnies and leveling them all during the story I wasn’t powerful enough to take on some of the later stages. Luckily there is an Arena mode that is separate to the story where you just fight waves of enemies and use them to level up. Once I had chosen the bunny I wanted to level, I went back and the rest of the game was a cake walk.

The art style of Bunny Battle Nemesis very cool. It took me a while to pick exactly what I was looking at, and I finally put my finger on it during the final cut scene. The animation has a mixture of Adventure Time and Archer.

Gladius jumps nimbly in and out of battle…

The animations and fighting are very fluid once you get used to a weird delay between moving and attacking. It took me a hot minute to get used to but after a while it feels great. You can switch direction mid combo to dispatch anything that might be sneaking up behind you. The depth movement is a little bit tricky on the eye as you feel like you are on the same level as an enemy but none of you attacks hit. Some of the ranged enemies are a pain to take down.

There are stage events that randomly appear like pinball bouncers that ding the enemies all around the map or continuously spawning bosses, which keeps you one your toes.

Bunny Battle Nemesis has a streamer mode that disables the background music while keeping the sound effects present to prevent copyright claims which is a nice touch. Bunny Battle Nemesis has a local co-op mode but does not support online co-op. It would be great to see an online mode added so I could play with friends.

Why is everyone running away?

I am having a lot of fun with Bunny Battles Nemesis, the story is quite short finishing it in 3 hours, but the arena mode will keep me entertained until the next content drop.

Bunny Battle was reviewed on the Xbox Series X and I would like to thank DCF. Studios for the code.
