Runny Bunny is a frantic sliding puzzle game that has you taking control of a bunny to collect power pellets and carrots. The bunny moves lightning fast in a straight line and will cling to walls and ceilings. It’s not easy though … you’ll need to avoid traps such as spikes, arrows and laser beams along with enemies.

Gameplay
Runny Bunny features 100 levels, some of which are quick and some that will down right make you want to throw your controller. Everything is controlled with Up, Right, Down and Left so make sure you’re equipped with a controller that has a responsive D-pad.
As with most puzzle games, Runny Bunny eases you in with simple levels. No enemies or traps and the path to the exit is straightforward. However, the difficulty spikes sharply every 10 levels. These milestones introduce boss-style stages where a moving red danger zone relentlessly chases you. Flawless movements and quick reaction times are essential, leaving no room for any mistakes.

The puzzle designs are well-crafted and evolve as you progress, keeping gameplay fresh and engaging. New traps and mechanics are introduced, adding variety … and sometimes frustration. The bunny’s rapid movement often leaves little time to anticipate incoming obstacles, requiring multiple attempts to memorize level layouts. Unfortunately, most levels lack checkpoints, meaning you’ll need to complete each stage in a single run.
While Runny Bunny offers a substantial 100 stages, replay value is limited. There are no upgrades, secrets, or unlockable content to discover. Achievements and trophies are tied to natural progression, with Xbox and PlayStation players needing to complete all 100 levels for the full 1,000 Gamerscore or Platinum Trophy. Title updates occasionally add new challenges, providing an incentive to revisit previously completed levels for additional achievements.

The game’s retro-inspired 8-bit visuals evolve every 10 levels, bringing new environments that add a fresh vibe to the gameplay. These changes, coupled with the escalating challenges, help maintain interest throughout the journey.
Final Thoughts
If you’re someone who’s reaction time is wanting, then Runny Bunny might not be the game for you. If you like to think quick on your feet then you might be singing a different tune.
The puzzles are well thought out and provide a good challenge. While the game can be completed in 1-2 hours, I wouldn’t suggest this. Spreading it out and tackling the game in smaller bursts may save you some frustration and a controller or two!
For achievement hunters, Runny Bunny is an easy recommendation. With its free title update, the game now offers 2,000 Gamerscore at the time of writing, making it an appealing choice for those chasing quick trophies and Gamerscore milestones.
